#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Maple Wings
Swim
Quiet tonight, now that my Zoom webinar is over. Could have sworn I heard Wave’s voice. Alas, not so. His kindergarten visit behind him. And the challenge of it, the unexpected anxiety. Ugh, I remember this too well from my mothering days. Transitions are exciting and challenging. At every age. I get so much peace with Chippie at the early morning river, I’m grateful. Frank is doing the early wake-ups. Relief. The geese had already had breakfast and weren’t in sight. It was pleasantly warm. But all day there was the earthy scent of impending rain. And the rain came. I didn’t want to get messy before my webinar presentation tonight. So I let Frank take him to the river after dinner. I had another great swim today. I ran morning craft and then Israeli group and then prepped for my Grandmother As Muse Readings tonight with my recent participants presenting at the Journal of Expressive Writing. Excellent. Great turnout, great readings, great open mic following. I’m filled to the brim with grandmother ancestor stories. I love maple wing season. Chippie came with me to see the wings up close. Our first maple wings together.
