#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
What a summer day, perfection. Busy, yes, with work and play. Early, Frank met me in the parking lot of the supermarket. For the first time in months and months I didn’t have a poetry workshop for Tuesday morning. Mondays only in the near future. I wanted to get a BIG shop done for the trip to Martha’s Vineyard for the wedding to stock the house, etc. So glad Frank met me. We each had a shopping cart and helped me load the car and unload the car at home, and it made a big task easier. My daughter asked me to pick Wave up and take him after school. Before that I got Chippie walked and my own swim in and some necessary work at my computer. Getting Wave from school, talking in the car on the way to Farm Pond, and playing in the water, just like old times. Haven’t had a sweet time with him like this in awhile. We swam and played all of our swimming games, I taught him some new tricks and he showed off his back float a lot, and took some risks jumping into water over his head from the dock. All went perfectly, of course, until it was time to leave. His beach exits are terrifically challenging. This one was a challenge, but not the toughest, and it only took me twenty minutes. Sheesh! Home to make myself a quick dinner of leftovers and then prepped for my Tuesday night group which was great, as usual. It’s dark now, and still hot. Noise of tennis ball from the courts where Frank plays with pals into the evening in his happy place. This wedding is really happening soon!
