#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
I have the a tired grumpiness tonight from a long day in the car. Drove to Connecticut to see my aunt, which was very nice, and I was glad to see her. But it’s a lot of sitting and highway driving. Fortunately, the smoke has passed over us, the sky was blue, and I walked to the pond and had my swim and that was delicious. On the way home I stopped again at the pond and visited with my daughter and nephew and grandniece for a bit which was a nice pick-me-up. Listened to the Gertrude Stein biography on audible which was distracting and interesting. Quiet house tonight. Wave gone, Frank playing tennis, so I worked quite a bit on this newest poem which is long and I’m not sure it’s coming together, but this quote from Gertrude Stein is reminding me, it’s about discovery. No driving into Boston or to Connecticut tomorrow, so I will have a nice break from being in the car. And Wave comes back. Yay.
