Tonight we spontaneously play pickle ball with Franci and Will who stop over and my milkweed garden has, as intended, attracted monarchs. They fly across the field and catch my eye every so often as we play. Frank and I win, three games out of five. I have weeded and weeded in the hot sun today. I was just setting off for my walk, but got distracted by Frank and my son who were starting to plan my son’s move next weekend, and then I just got involved with a little raking, and I was off and running for a couple of hours cleaning up some areas that have needed it. I so wanted to plant some flowers today, but I didn’t have anything and never made it out. Frank and I did a bit of set up for a pickle gathering we’re hosting tomorrow. I also worked this morning on my poem draft. I revised. But there’s something not working about it. I need to get up early tomorrow and figure out what I’m bringing to workshop Monday as tomorrow will be quite busy with pickle and sunshine.
