#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Charles River, Trestle Bridge Graffiti Reflection
Nice to wake up with Frank home after he has been away. Another sweet fresh summer morning. I have a lot to do so I am busy for a good few hours into late morning before I go out. I revise a poem to share with my friend and prepare to meet with a client on her memoir which I love. Then I go out for a very hot walk in late morning sun through the meadows. It’s the season of wild rosemary! I’ve been walking past it in the meadow and today I instinctively reached out and broke off a piece and smelled it and yes! Once I tune my senses to the rosemary I see it all along the meadow’s edges, every meadow I go into. Such an abundance. I must see about transplanting some to our field. I was happy to meet with my poetry friend today as I have been doing weekly and it’s really really helpful. We each share a poem and comments and we also talk about issues and vent frustrations and all the helpful things that can be so encouraging. She gave me very helpful and encouraging feedback about my new project as well as the new poem I brought today. Somehow today all day I have my daughter’s headache, well, one like she had Sunday, not as bad. It’s that my shoulders and neck are exceptionally tight from the swimming, I suppose. So, in the later day I just needed time away from the computer even though I have a lot to do, and went into the garden. I’ve been wanting to tackle a part of the side garden that’s against the house and it’s overgrown with weeds and poison oak and poison ivy. So I put on my long sleeves and long pants and it was quite hot but I got the job done and I haven’t seen any accidental poison ivy resulting yet. I was careful. Cooled off in the pool. And now I’m ready to plant a few plants there tomorrow morning I hope. My daughter helped her client last night bring her baby into the world, so hooray for that. Then she slept all day and came to say hi and I made her some dinner, happy to have a chance to give her a little TLC. May my shoulders and neck relax in my sleep and may I wake without headache!
