#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

It may not look like much, but I was thrilled to see this little fella today in my newest garden. This is where a week ago or so I transplanted about six tall stalks of healthy milkweed from my pollinator garden. Despite watering, most of the plants quickly turned brown and died. I have kept watering because I’ve put other plants, butterfly bush and hydrangea and lavender near it, and today I saw this milkweed sprout which proves that I will have milkweed in this patch next year! Little things can make me happy. This was a gardening morning as I have to get the ferns and a few other things in. It rained last night—hooray! And there was light rain today, not enough, but cloudy and cool. I kind of felt October coming in. Got all my new plants in. Today was a big effort to get my fall workshop offerings set up so I can send my newsletter. A lot of work, and I’m almost done. Got an A+ massage which I desperately needed for my body to feel better and it does. House quiet. Wave is missed. Nice time with Frank though. And I’m grateful for more time with him in the week ahead.
