#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

The lily pads in early spring

Frank is home. There will be sun today. I had hoped to see my aunt today but I don’t dare visit her with the possibility that I will get this bug. Tonight, I definitely feel like I’ve dodged a bullet. I have had a nice day. I swam and went to a doctor’s appointment. Routine, and all is well. I drove to Athol to work on visiting a couple of cemeteries where I have great grandparents buried and I’ve never visited their graves. It was warm and sunny. I knew I’d be able to find Clarence and Georgia in Highland Cemetery just by walking around and I wanted to find them that way. I had this picture from the Internet. I walked around for about twenty minutes before finding it. It’s in a lovely, prominent spot facing the retention pond. I had forgotten to bring something. So, I drove to a nearby store and bought pansies and rosemary and returned to leave them. I also went to the other cemetery where I have great grandparents on my father’s side. I walked and walked and looked and looked but I couldn’t find them. I will have to go back another day after a bit of research. But I was very happy to find Clarence Sr. and Georgia. Home to Frank then off to play pickle with family and friends and dinner after. I need a couple of poems to come this weekend. I am hoping for one to come from today’s visit.
