#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Haleh Liza Gafori
I oversleep. They are awake before me. I’ve had a great sleep and I’m happy to help make his lunch and breakfast and get him out the door. Then I get myself out. For gardening, a couple of hours. There is so much to do! I plant pots, weed, trim brush, rake and clean up. I work and work until it’s time to go indoors for some indoor work at my computer. I need to finalize my AWP panel proposal. I don’t write any poetry but hope to tomorrow. I need a break from my computer and go out for another round of yard work until it’s time for me and Frank to go out. We have dinner and go to a poetry event in Lexongton, my second poetry event there this week. The poet and musician Haleh Liza Gavori, with musicians, recites and sings her translations of Rumi’s poems. It’s quite beautiful. Then off for ice cream. A perfect date night. House quiet. No dogs, no rooster, no Wave.
