#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

Spring Collage: Rooster, Mallard, Painted Turtle

A morning without a rooster is a quiet sadness. But the news is so good from his new home. Fudgy is the new alpha rooster! The cock of the walk! He dethroned the previous rooster. Sorry for that. But it’s great news for us. My youngest and Wave are still sad that he’s gone, and I get that. Today, while my youngest, Franci, was working downstairs on her computer, I saw out my window from upstairs a wonderful sight - broad daylight, mid-afternoon, a doe and a very young fawn. So I shouted down to Franci ‘cause I knew it would cheer her up. She grabbed this short video of them below. It did cheer her up. And then we all were happy when Wave came home. And I had a fun drop in from my dear friend. We sat in the sun and talked over the wedding of the weekend. You have to talk this big events over! I did get a poem tweaked and workshopped. Helpful feedback. I tweaked it again in the afternoon and need another one for the morning. I’m feeling behind. But it’s fine. I’m not going to stress. I had two clients today, both great sessions. Dinner tonight with Wave home. Lots of laughs. Some role playing. Wave loves that. My swim this morning was so great in the bright sun and blue sky and the pool pretty much to myself. The air was cold, the water warm. Perfect.
