Early wake up on hotel room to meet for breakfast and a walk. A few of us are going for a ramble after coffee. Our first whole day. A walk to a beautiful national garden, fresh flowers and moist green trees. Nature in the midst of pavement and cement buildings. An oasis. Back for breakfast, delicious, and massages for all. Then, our afternoon tour to the Acropolis Museum where I was overcome with jet lag. Frank and I grabbed quick naps on the bus and emerged refreshed for the hike up to the Parthenon. Quite amazing views. There were clouds and a lovely breeze. And then our tour van took us an hour and a half drive away by the sea to Poseidon’s Temple where a storm blew up, but before it rained we got to up to the Temple and the skies were quite dramatic. A dinner right next to the see at the base of the Temple. Lots of fish! Then the long drive home, arrival at dark. A long and exquisite day in Greece. Tomorrow, we board our boat after a short flight.
