#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

We woke up for breakfast at a stopping point after riding all night. All around, a smoother night of travel for all. I got a good night’s sleep and was joyful to wake to this scene for swimming. What day is it???? Who knows. Oh, yes, it’s Wednesday! After breakfast, we motored to this private amazing spot where we spent the day swimming, sunning, jet skiing, and a little bit of hiking from a cove that had a phenomenal view. The beaches are quite rocky, as well as the approach to the beach. Oval smooth and somewhat slippery stones give your feet a good workout and stretch. Today was truly exquisite. The water is pleasantly cold. There was some chop from a delightful wind. We had no agenda except pleasure. And we met it. We had a little bit of conversation about Greek archetypes and Greek history. We are each to prepare a little talk or a little exercise of our choice. I am working on Hestia, Goddess of hearth and home. I also wrote a poem this morning for the manuscript. I didn’t expect to, but I felt like it. It’s an erasure poem from an article about my uncle who served in WW II. The rest of the day, pure play. Tonight, dinner in the port of Milos. We are not staying the night, but had some shopping and a nice dinner by the water. Until I couldn’t find my phone! I retraced steps to the shop where Frank bought me a pendant for a necklace. They had not seen it. I was certain, then, that it had been stolen, and as I walked back to the restaurant I was working through in my head what to do to protect my phone, and then I found Frank who had called my phone and someone had answered! Well, I was able to retrieve it from a friendly shopkeeper where I had bought a few things as gifts. I’m grateful to have left it somewhere I had made a purchase! I think she remembered me because I spent a good amount of time trying to decide which of two water skimming balls I wanted to bring home to Wave. So, thank you, Wave. This is a very busy port and we are docked between some yachts. A very party atmosphere. We put on our own music and danced a bit before bed. Because we could. I think tomorrow we go wake in or near Hydra. I couldn’t attend my Israeli group tonight after all; the timing didn’t work. But I logged on for a quick hello. It was the one group I had hoped to attend this week, but Tonya was there to facilitate and I’m sure all went well.
