#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Happy 38th Wedding Anniversary to Us!
Woke into thirty-eight years of marriage in sunshine and blue sky and a calm sea with dear friends and a trip of a lifetime. One of our favorite stops, nestled in a quiet cove. Early swim! Second early swim! All day swim! The water warmer, turquoise, salty as heck and pure soft loveliness. Our second to last day. Oh no! I did get part II of my poem written, and had to send some emails. Otherwise, all play. Twice out on the jet ski with Frank. Pure fun and exceptional scenery. One of the fun things we decided to do was each prepare a short talk or exercise of some sort to present based on a Greek God or Goddess, myth or idea. I will do mine tomorrow. Frank did his on Hermes, messenger, trickster, psychopomp. Po did hers on the Golden Ratio; Geoff did his on Helios. This afternoon Karin did hers as a delightful enactment of the Goddess Aphrodite, standing on the bow of the ship in a beautiful gown, addressing us as the Goddess herself. So fun! Dinner at a great restaurant in the port of Poros after a little bit of shopping. We were treated to dinner and toasted during dinner in such lovely, heartfelt ways. After dinner, a walk for ice cream, and I managed to leave our shopping goodies in a bag in the pharmacy. As we got into the skiff Frank asked for the bag, and I ran back and found it, just inside the little pharmacy where I could see in on the floor by the door––and the pharmacy was closed! Oh well, there has to be a little glitch in such a day of perfection.
