#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Tree Bark, Morning Walk, Greece
Home on the Charles, tonight, after a nine and a half hour flight. So, it’s about 3:00 a.m. Greece time as I write. Home, in bed. We woke early, me and Frank, breakfast before departure from our boat. Geoff and I took a walk to exercise a bit before the plane. I was so happy to find some wildflowers in bloom and some interesting trees, and to stretch my legs. There wasn’t any way to safely swim from the boat once in port. Most of us left in a van for our flight home, together. The airport in Athens was easy. The flight was easy, just long. I did get a rough draft of a new poem. Easy home from the airport. Happy to be greeted by my daughter in a clean, quiet house. I was exhausted, but after a bite to eat, of course I got a second wind and wanted to visit and water the gardens which looked healthy enough. Frank mowed all the lawns and I went to work in the brush. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on those clippers! We worked outside happily for awhile. I stopped at the river which is very low from the high heat. No beaver tonight. I took a shower in my outdoor shower and the birds were getting ready for sleep. The geraniums are in bloom. Charlie’s spirit got up from his spot on the couch and welcomed us home.
