#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Greece Collage
Today I woke up looking forward to my event this afternoon: readings from the writers from my recent Putting Our Grandmothers on the Page webinar. Also, my Israeli group, especially since I didn’t get to be with them while in Greece. First, a little work on a poem, and then off to my early swim, my mile, under a cloudy sky, but it was warm. Then some work on cutting brush. Frank hired someone we’ve been working with to move my brush piles. It was quite hot and a good workout and I pulled down a massive ton of invasive vines in the trees and stone wall. Yikes. My grandmother event rocked. Despite two emergencies of readers who couldn’t attend. I read their pieces. It was sooo moving. Such powerful grandmother histories, including Holocaust survivors and business women and an enslaved woman, and immigrant grandmothers. Really moving. Then, more packing as we head to Martha’s Vineyard for the long weekend. And Wave soon. Soon.
