Wow, summer shining through today for sure. Absolutely I wanted to swim at Farm Pond. So I ran there, had a great swim around the island in the sun. Walked home. I had planned to drive to see my aunt today to take her to get a new phone but she wasn’t up to it. So I had a day to work on poems. I have reached a point where I have less than five poems, I think, that need drafting, and then I will focus on revising the entire manuscript. The poem I thought I should work on seemed to be a non-starter. And, it was, until I sat down and started writing. Of course, it came. I got a decent first draft by the end of the day. I’ll revise this weekend for Monday. Tonight, pickle with kids and friends, so so fun. We had dinner outdoors at a nearby restaurant after. It was dark and warm enough and it was such a friendly, chatty, happy time. I’m quite sleepy tonight.
