#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

Beach coconut abstrract

Frank and I argue playfully - who will go down and get the early morning coffee? I win. By that I mean, I go and bring him his cup. He plays tennis, I go for my beach walk. I love this ritual daily life so much. It’s gorgeously warm and sunny as usual. I walk in my usual way. Seabirds. Waves. Palm trees. Shells. A coconut shell who’s texture intrigues me. I take a short swim. Listen to my podcasts. Come home for a quiet house, my breakfast. Work on my computer, catching up. Preparing for afternoon group. Two groups today; Israeli support group and Grandmother Writing. In the late afternoon I am ready to be out of my chair and back outdoors. Frank is done and we hop on the quad. My nephew and his wife and daughter have just arrived at their casa nearby. We meet them and walk to Guiones beach from their casa, and easy few minutes. We meet with our friends, and happy for our new arrivals. More to come. And the sun will soon go down. I swim into the sun drop in the foam. A casual dinner at 10 Pies, a restaurant that serves casual food. I am ready for bed. No groups tomorrow. I have picked up a few days ago a pair of bamboo walking sticks from my beach walk that I found in a pile of brush in the sand. Frank trimmed them a bit, and today, my friend, G, painted them for me . Tomorrow I get to walk with my brightly painted bamboo sticks! Before bed, I have lit my candle in honor of all the people who are being brutalized by ICE.
