#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Playa Pelada
Just as yesterday, there was a lovely breeze this morning, and I was at the beach to walk by 7:00 a.m. Not many people out yet. Low tide. I took my time but felt tired and eager to return home to the casa to work on a poem I was ready to revise. So, I cut my walk a bit short and did work on the poem. It was a pretty significant revision. Headed in the right direction, but the magic isn’t quite there and that’s what I’m looking for. Still, I’ve gotten it further. Then it was time to shop for our party tonight. G. and I went to four stores! The best was where we went to get the organic greens. The woman cut them fresh for us. Lettuces and rosemary and arugula and basil. Supermarket, and then the smaller organic supermarket, and then the fish market. Most of the day, except for a nap, went into our prep. Frank was out, on the phone, and playing tennis. G and A and I prepared the house and the meal. Some friends from Costa Rica and my sister-in-law and her four children and granddaughter and us. Quite a nice gathering! A great meal, Frank grilled the chicken and fish. Lots of nice conversations and an easy cleanup. I forgot to do my lighting of the candle ritual and will have to make up for it tomorrow. Tomorrow more of my family to come!
