#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream
Put the hiking boots on instead of the skis this morning. Gray skies. A bit bleak. And the snow base is worn out. But I really enjoyed my hike and took a lot of pictures, many for my collages. Felt a lot of peace in the woods. And happy that a bit of snow to come later in the day to freshen the skiing. Worked quiet a bit today on my genealogy for my family tree for my manuscript. Good progress. So fun to see both branches of my family tree in a diagram I am making. Names. People. Ancestors, histories I’m connected to. I had two writing clients and working on their writing, very satisfying. The snow, big fluffy flakes began to fall in the afternoon. Pickle tonight, so fun! We played Franci and Will, me and Frank. I got mad at Frank for bumping into me as I was accomplishing a shot he thought I wouldn’t make and he basically was trying to poach it. I was mad for a few minutes. And then I eased myself out of it. And I was playing really well tonight. My coordination was so fast. It was on. And by the end of me and Frank beating them three times I was suddenly giddy with laughter and laughed through our winning point. Just so fun. I can’t have this kind of fun playing with strangers. It has to be family to let it all go and be in such a fun playful rivalry. I love to watch Will play with Franci. The way he smiles at her and compliments her and I can see how much he really loves her and approves of everything she does. So sweet. Take out after, home to our table in front of the fire. Land home late from work, missed pickle, but joined for dinner and Perri too and long conversations about the wedding and the news after. And the snow.
