It’s terrific to feel put back together and energetic. Frank helping with Chippie is huge. We take care of him in thirds, me, Perri, Frank, but Frank is saving me the earliest morning hours. He didn’t have to leave for his meeting this morning because it’s Patriot’s Day and the Marathon blocks the roads out here at the race’s start. I worked on a poem. I am being patient and experimenting and thinking and playing and not worrying. Trusting the vision for the new revised work will find its way. So, a good poetry workshop. And plenty of yard work by the river. Chippie helped with some. Two sessions, morning and afternoon. I love working near the river and seeing the current and hearing the geese and feeling the breeze blow. There are some really terrible pricker vines that trouble the area I’m trying to clean up. I am determined to get the best of them. They are a green single stalked vine that grows straight up a stalk of sharp thorns and they grab the lowest branches of the trees and get a strangle hold and colonize the tree. I have to cut them at the base and then pull the tangles out of the trees trying not to get too terribly torn up. Sheesh. I had such a good mood today! Wave finally home after the weekend away and not in great shape mood wise. I made broccoli pizza and this did not help. He loves broccoli pizza. He’s home on vacation this week and I hope his mood will improve for the week off. Poetry peers tonight, another positive time. Chippie is coming along, coming along.
