#NewThisDay Writing From My Photo Stream

Sunset, Katama

Wow, what a moon tonight. We were all packed into my car for an evening drive - for ice cream in Edgartown. Last night we took the bikes in, but tonight we drove around a bit. It’s a fun part of family time, the silly and surprising conversations that happen while just driving around. Our last night all together - Franci and Will heading back tomorrow. I started today with a seven mile walk early, to the beach, around the Farm, the usual. I am listening to a fascinating biography of Pablo Picasso, a very long listen that I’m enjoying. Two swims with Wave, morning in Katama in surprisingly mild waves. He tried out a new snorkel Frank bought him in Edgartown. I had a few hours of work mid-day, my Israeli group and a brief WWC Board meeting and then a client. All worthwhile and then we dashed off to State Beach, all of us, in the late afternoon and Wave and I had another good swim. A lovely sunny day in our favorite place. My son called and we face timed with him after dinner. He showed us around his new apartment and seems quite happy but also maybe missing us just a bit. And I miss him. But every time I think of him I am so happy because he loves his new job and home.
